Where you are

Pins use an approximate area — about five kilometers for adults, coarser if you are under 18. Your device’s exact location is turned into that square on our server and the exact point is never stored. Exact home is not a setting.

What is public

Anyone can see, without an account: your username, your square, your currently watching title and your favorites. Nothing else is shown — not your email, not your sign-in account, and not whether you said you are under 18.

Because a pin is public, think before you use a username that identifies you, and especially if you are under 18. The coarser square helps, but it is not anonymity.

Importing from AniList

If you type your AniList name when lighting up, we read your public currently-watching and favorite anime once to fill in the form. We don’t save the name, we don’t link the two accounts, and adult titles are skipped.

Share cards

If you are an adult with a visible pin, you can share a card with your username, your titles and your country. Anyone with the link can open it, but search engines are asked not to list it. Under-18 pins never get a card, and lights off or saying you are under 18 takes yours down within minutes.

Taking it down

Lights off hides your pin from the map. That is not the same as coarsening. Browse stays open without an account. Lighting up uses Discord or email, which we use only to sign you in.
